Michigan Aggregates Association Launches Women-Focused Group

Published by Josie Patterson on

The Michigan Aggregates Association (MAA) announced last month the formation of a new group focused on “women in Michigan mining,” that will provide industry professionals a forum to learn, collaborate and network.

The group will hold its first meeting on Sept. 7 at the MAA office in Okemos, Mich. Keynote speaker Leah Robinson from the Michigan Chamber will share success stories experienced through a similar program. A short meeting followed by a networking opportunity will also take place during the event.

MAA said it anticipates the group will meet three to four times annually at various locations around the state. The format of the meetings will involve keynote speakers along with networking opportunities.
